For October we are highlighting Christie as our Wolf of the Month. Inspired by fitness and passionate about sustainable healthy living, Christie embodies everything that our Wolfpack stands for.

Where are you from, where do you live, and what do you do?

I’m from Indianapolis, Indiana. I graduated from Purdue University and landed back in Indianapolis where I opened my first fitness facility. I’ve always been active in fitness and decided to make it my life’s mission to help others become more fit and healthy. I like to re-invent because I get bored easily and with that being said, I ended up moving to a different location, not once, but twice. My current location is in the heart of Indianapolis called Meridian-Kessler and I moved to this location so that I had high ceilings for the popular TRX workout. This was where the magic happened. As I mentioned before, I get bored easily and after a few months with TRX, I started putting a spry tube through the overhead and a light bulb went off. I hired an engineer from my alma mater, Purdue University, and worked with him to come up with a prototype for my idea. The CRT Method was born. Next, I applied for a patent for my product as well as the method I created. I received the patents and have sold the products across the USA for both fitness studios and in-home workouts that come with a door attachment. I love what I do and am grateful every day to have fun helping others.

What’s the best part about being a Wolven Ambassador for you?

The feeling of gratitude I get for supporting such an amazing company. One that gives back not only with their products but gives you the sense of belonging to something bigger, a community that is making a difference. Lastly, I’m leading by example for my children and teaching them along the way.

What is your favorite print and/or style?

My favorite style is definitely the flare bottoms. I’m such a 70’s girl at heart and to wear this style not only looks good but is somewhat nostalgic. It takes me back a bit. Noor is my favorite print, especially with fall coming plus, It's Purdue’s school colors so it’s perfect.

How does wearing Wolven make you feel?

I feel both proud and confident. Proud, knowing that I’m wearing something that stands for taking initiative in helping the future of our deteriorating environment, and secondly, I feel confident wearing Wolven because I know I look darn good in their cool prints and styles.

When or where do you feel most connected to nature?

When I’m outside riding my bike. During the pandemic, with my studio closed and just doing virtual training, I found I needed an escape, something more. My neighbor asked if I wanted to ride with him and our daughters and I said “absolutely”. Since then, I have continued with riding on my own time and it has been extremely therapeutic connecting to the trees, birds, squirrels, and the sounds of it all… pure magic.

What inspires you?

Life inspires me. Music inspires me. Learning new things and seeing my clients accomplish new things, inspires me.

How do you envision the future of our world?

It depends on us. I have faith in us and feel that Wolven and others are bringing the awareness needed to make it happen. This is a step in the right direction and we all need to do our part. Start small, start local, build your own community and continue to teach others by example.

How do you create your content?

I fly by the seat of my pants, honestly. I’m a creative soul so things just happen and I let it fly.

Why should people join the Wolfpack?

Who doesn’t want to be a part of something so positive? There is nothing better than being involved with others that support each other, give back to the earth , and give you a sense of purpose and community… something bigger than ourselves.

What does sustainability mean to you?

Living a life where we contribute daily to making the world a better place to live in. It starts with empowering others, especially the young. Lead by example in your local area. i.e. stop using plastic, composting, long-lasting light bulbs, etc. There are many ways you can help and teaming up with your family and local area friends will also create such a positive community and in turn, help the earth. It’s a win-win.
