Oh hello there, dreamy Pisces season. Ruled by Neptune, the planet of mystery and illusion, Pisces’ are elusive, artistic, romantic, intuitive, adaptive and imaginative. They are the soft and mysterious mermaids of our emotional waters and as the last sign of the zodiacal year, it is said that they carry the knowledge and lessons of all the previous eleven signs. With such innate knowledge and depth, it is easy to see why Pisces are notoriously mysterious. As one with access to such profound truth and emotion, they must guard that gift, as many are not ready to see themselves through the reflection that Pisces is capable of mirroring back at them.
In the tarot, Pisces corresponds to The Moon card which is symbolic of all that which is not seen. It encompasses our hidden truths and nature, and our sacred connection to divinity through our own intuition. Pisces, like the moon, is the light in the darkness, the sparkle of light above you when you’re beneath the waves, the luminous guidance of your intuition, which aids us in the navigation through the shadowy depths of our emotional oceans and allows us the opportunity to witness or fullest selves, by acknowledging our shadows and bringing them into the light.
With such profound emotional awareness, Pisces are able to exhibit incredible compassion and understanding while maintaining their mysterious demeanors that function as protective gates to their wealth of knowledge.
These magical characteristics are manifested in their color correspondences of light green (revitalization, hope, luck), lavender (compassion, mystery), pale yellow (inspiration, optimism) and white (truth, intuition). With these colors and characteristics in mind, I have identified four prints that reflect these qualities. Despite the heaviness of the years' cumulative emotions, the quintessential Piscean revitalization comes after we have deep-dived into our emotional waters and come out the other side having acknowledged and processed all that we have been through. This is not a time to hide in the shadows, but instead embrace ourselves wholly, light and dark, good and bad, and accept and love our own fragile humanity. May that fragility empower us, may our emotional depths make the divine light that much brighter and may we cleanse and heal our sacred emotional waters as the zodiacal year comes to a close and another approaches on the horizon.
