We can't get enough of all of the amazing women creating, empowering, and bringing light into this world. Everyone is an artist, whether they create tangible works of art or create an energy that can then be shared with others. At Wolven Threads, we are so grateful for the community of artists that we get to work with and serve. This week we have chosen to interview a woman that creates beauty through performing and carefully dancing through life in a way that is kind and mindful of mother earth, the wonderful Alea Rain (@alearain).

What inspires you to keep performing?
Dance for me is a spiritual practice and creative outlet, and I will never stop dancing, whether I am performing or not. All of the support and love I have received has been such a motivating inspiration to keep pouring out my soul to share.
What book are you currently reading?
Women Who Run With The Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés
Is there a woman in particular that has influenced your life greatly?
I am surrounded by so many strong, successful, intelligent women. They all inspire me to grow and be the best version of myself I can be, but if I were to choose one it'd be my extraordinary mama, she's magic.

What is your spirit animal?
Aquatic Jungle Cat- they're rare
What was the last thing you cooked?
Fish tacos at the beach cottage with avocado-tomatillo-mango-cilantro salsa, my speciality.
Where was the last place you travelled to?
I travel so much, I'm currently in Santa Barbara and by the time this is published I'll be in San Francisco, after a few days in the coastal forest lands of Oregon
How do you stay in touch with nature?
By constantly immersing myself in it, I can't stay away. I was born by the sea and the trees and that will always be home to me, no matter where I "live" I feel most at peace where the forest and ocean collide. I have also adorned my city beach abode with plants, crystals, and shells so that I'm never really without nature, because it's surrounding me and living inside of me.
What is one thing you do daily to keep yourself happy and healthy?
Gratitude. Everyday I think of all the things I am grateful for. Gratitude breeds more opportunity for things to be grateful for.
