Our sustainability practices are rooted in a deep appreciation for our earth and the support it lends to all beings. Our team is made up of artists, vegans, and environmental protection activists. We welcome beings of all types to join us in our mission to reduce the negative effects the human hand has placed on our mother earth. We believe in always making the sustainable and mindful choice when it comes to what you are putting in and on your body. With growing trends towards clean eating and environmentally friendly consumerism, we urge you to join us in educating yourself and others on the negative effects of mass production and the toll it is taking on our health as a whole, the earth and each spirit inhabiting it. Wolven is more than an artisan brand. We believe our earth and our bodies must exist as one, and it is up to us to save the very mother that created us and supports us every day of our lives.
Our activewear & swimwear is created from OEKO-Tex certified recycled PET, a fabric that is created by breaking down existing plastic that would otherwise clog up our landfills and pollute our oceans. An estimated 14 billion pounds of garbage is dumped into the ocean each year, 80 percent of which is a form of plastic that is killing off marine life and polluting what was once a healthy and thriving eco system. In America alone, people are using and disposing of 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour that are then being thrown into landfills, taking over wetlands, forests and perfectly good soil for sustainable use.
carbon-neutral wood-pulp fibers sustainably harvested in austria

Modal is a sustainable cellulose fiber derived from beechwood pulp that’s twice as soft as conventional cotton. Modal fibers are produced in an environmentally responsible way from the pulp through to the fiber. Modal is naturally soft on the skin and exceptionally ecological.
The way that beech trees grow is something truly special. They multiply by "rejuvenation" which means that the trees propagate by themselves. No artificial irrigation or planting is required. Thus beechwood forests are a completely natural and sustainable source of raw material. More than half of the wood used for Wolven comes locally from Austria and the remainder is from neighboring countries. Beechwood from forests which apply prevailing forestry legislation and sustainable methods is used exclusively.
The environmental footprint of Modal is a positive one – made from carbon-neutral fibers, it requires less land per tonne than cotton fibres and has a water consumption level that’s ten to twenty times less than that of cotton.
