Hellooooo gorgeous Taurus season! Am I biased because I'm a quadruple Taurus? Absolutely! But truly, Taurus season is the best because it is definitely “treat yourself” energy! Ruled by Venus, Taurus is an earth sign of the senses. I find that an overarching narrative in the spiritual community at large is one of ‘detachment’. However, sometimes, the focus on detachment goes too far and can lead people to mistakenly neglect themselves. But Taurus energy is here to remind us that we are beings of the Earth, having a human experience. We are meant to find pleasure through all the senses: sight, smell, taste, touch, and sound. And Taurus season is here to encourage us to indulge.

Taurus energy is luxurious, comfortable, stable, level-headed, delectable, and decadent and is truly the knower of quality across all spectrums. Personified as a bull (a grazing cow is more accurate in my opinion, however), Taurus is slower moving and is never to be rushed. And because we move slower, we must have high standards for what deserves our energy expenditure.

In the tarot, Taurus is associated with The Hierophant card. To be honest, as a Taurus myself, it took me a long time to feel a connection to this card but only when I realized that this card is not a description but a lesson, did it finally click. As I was saying, Taurus is a reminder to the rest of the population to find pleasure in the little things but for Taurus natives, we need the reminder to not be completely consumed by earthly pleasures. The Hierophant is the anchor and reminder that our earth-bound bodies and senses are Divine but it can be a slippery slope from enjoying them to being consumed by them. It is a reminder that a higher purpose allows for both indulgence and ascension when not tethered too tightly to the material realm.

These associations and characteristics cumulatively create Taurus’ color correspondences of green (abundance, growth), pink (self-love, pleasure), and brown (stability, practicality). With consideration of all these contributing aspects, I have deduced the colors and prints that will nourish us throughout this season.

Eucalyptus

Ruled by the element of Earth, Taurus has a natural connection to the color green and all the earthly things that take on that color, such as eucalyptus. As a color green symbolizes growth, abundance, and healing.

Thyme

One of Taurus’ crystal correspondences is emerald which resembles this deep and rich shade of green. This color reminds me of the deep green of the pine forests of the Pacific Northwest and the crisp air that it provides.

Fauna

Have you ever been outside in nature and looked at the world around you through the lens of a kaleidoscope? Well if you haven’t, spoiler alert! This is what it would look like.

Salt

Ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty, pleasure, and love, there is an innate connection to the color pink which symbolizes love, and particularly the most important form of love. Love of the Self. Additionally, Himalayan salt which is what this print is named after, has similar properties to rose quartz and promotes not only self-love but the inspired action that is required to maintain true self-love.

Lychee

If there’s one word that describes Taurus energy, I would have to say, it’s decadence, and this vibrant shade of pink screams decadence! With its Venus rulership, this shade of pink gives me visions of opulent furniture in a room filled with velvet furniture and an excess of pillows and gilded details.

Chai

This rich shade of brown, as well as its reversed color of green, encompasses Taurus’ fixed earth modality. The shades are so rich I swear I can almost smell the pungency of the earth by just looking at it!

Noor

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this print always reminds me of photos of the Earth taken from outer space. As an earthly connoisseur, no sign understands the totality of our earth's offerings quite like a Taurus does and this print encompasses every detail of that.

May this season serve as a much-needed reminder that we deserve to nurture our desires rather than neglect them. May this season show us that indulgence shouldn’t come with a side of guilt. May this season ground us in our goals and the foundations that will sustain them. May this season connect us to the earth and the bounty it provides. And may this season spoil and pamper us and may we not doubt that we deserve it!Find the latest promotions from Wolven on our Wethrift store page here
