Lake Tahoe is the largest Alpine lake in the US, covering 71 miles of beautiful shoreline for you to discover. Over 2 million years ago, the lake was formed as part of the Lake Tahoe Basin. The modern lake has since been shaped throughout time and during the ice ages. Lake Tahoe sits in the middle of California and Nevada, straddling the state line, allowing access to many people in different areas.
