If you grew up in the United States, fruit roll-ups were probably part of your childhood. I remember wrapping them around my finger, licking them off until my finger turned raw and sticky. However, these sweet treats are filled with chemicals, artificial food coloring and high fructose corn syrup. In fact, most don’t even have any actual fruit in them. This is what fuels childhood ADHD, diabetes, obesity and other issues that are rampant today. So I made it my mission to recreate natural fruit roll-ups without any added sugar.

Woman Crush Wednesday: Merris Beadle
This week, our WCW is Merris Beadle, aka bb.goddess. 22-year-old Merris is a Los Angeles native and the ultimate creative. Her talents range from shooting brilliant photography to creating psychedelic graphic design and crafting laser-cut jewelry. Beyond being a creative, Merris is an engineering student at Pasadena City College with a love for projects that explore the intersection of art and science. Merris first came into the Wolven Threads universe when we collaborated on a photoshoot with Glitter Spies a couple years ago, and we have followed and loved her work ever since! We recently collaborated on a Burning Man inspired beach photoshoot in Malibu. She has an eye for combining patterns and finding psychedelic synergies in imagery that we can't get enough of. Travel Tuesday: Vasquez Rocks
A quick hour drive north of Los Angeles is the beautiful Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park. Part of the Sierra Pelona Mountains, this little piece of Mars was the site for our most recent Burning Man look book! These giant tilted rock formations were formed over 20 million years ago, go there to gawk at their beauty or to hike around. The views of the high desert are seriously spectacular on top of the rocks. Star Trek, the Flinstones and Buffy the Vampire Slayer were all filmed here, so make a fun day trip out of it if you're in the LA area! Travel Tuesday: Malibu Wine Safaris
Alright guys, I'm gonna be real with you, Malibu Wine Safaris is literally every girl's dream come true. Rosé all day with your best friends, and there are giraffes and zebras! Could life get any better? I definitely do not think so. We spent the day at Malibu Wine Safari's for my dear friend Saman's birthday, and had a blast getting to hang with all of their cute, super friendly creatures.
